No new news to report… wait on here’s something… Some of you are about to enter your second year as a Co-op member! We’ll be sending through more information on annual commitments in the coming weeks.

LOVELY WORDS & PICS FROM LEAH…

At the end of 2025, Leah was inspired to post on the Co-op and was kind enough to let me republish it for you all as it filled my heart and I thought it might yours, too…

For a bit over a year I’ve been part of a grocery co-op, I’m a working member and it’s been one of the highlights of this year for me. There’s the obvious perks - wonderful local food, supporting small producers and meeting like-minded home cooks. The special part I enjoy is the ‘working’ part, turning up on shopping day once a month and problem solving as a team. This transports me away from all the usual life stuff. I’ve definitely considered easier ways to buy food 😂, and if I have time in my life for another activity (generally the answer is no). But after an afternoon of running around weighing out messy liquids like olive oil ( 🫶 the liquids station), I feel like I’ve had a mental break and picked up some new niche insight into the global supply of cocoa, or how to share a cow 😂 , etc. Then you are challenged at home to cook with all sorts of different meats, seafood, products and produce. It’s wonderful and I feel lucky to be part of it all and watch the co-op double in size over the year. Thanks to Ange, Olga and Billy for driving the concept to feed ~30 local families. ❤️ Cooks Co-op.

The Produce List

WHAT’S HAPPENING IN THE LIST

We’ve mostly just been working on getting our heads straight after the break, so there’s not a heap to note. That said…

What’s new…

We are trying out some Forage Farm Pork & Beef Sausages.

Grapes! Rockmelon! Sudachi citrus! Chilli medleys!

Rolled Quinoa has been added plus the Rolled Five Grain Mix is back.

Puffed Grains (Millet, Quinoa, Buckwheat & Brown Rice) - and we’re heeding Tara’s warning that they go stale quickly, so they’re currently only available in 175g sealed pkts.

Besan Flour & Oat Bran - here’s look at you Alice and Meg 🥰

Plus, if you’re loving Castile Soap, you can now buy your own 5L container for a lower price.

What’s missing…

We’re running out of some ham, lamb, pork & grassland poultry cuts. You’ll be able to see what we don’t have currently because these items are now shaded out in the list (rather than hidden). There’s still plenty of beef.

We’re also running low on hot sauces, but will have plenty of stock arriving over the coming month.

Ange came back to a very parched garden so no greens medleys or soft herb medleys for a few weeks.

What changed…

Last batch of Ryan Avocados refused to ripen, so we have Hass back in the list.
